For the same SKU, is it possible to add multiple competitor URLs?

Short answer

No. Pricefy currently supports one competitor URL per SKU.

What this means in Pricefy

In Pricefy, each product (SKU) can be matched to a single competitor product page URL. That URL is the one Pricefy will use to:

  • monitor the competitor’s price and availability
  • run competitor-based rules (where applicable)
  • keep your catalog and matching clean and consistent

If you try to track multiple competitor pages for the same SKU, Pricefy won’t allow it—because a SKU ↔ competitor URL relationship is 1:1.

Why Pricefy allows only one competitor URL per SKU

This approach prevents common data issues that happen when multiple pages are tied to the same product, such as:

  • Conflicting prices (different competitor pages show different prices for similar variants/bundles)
  • Incorrect comparisons (one page may include accessories, multipacks, or different sizes)
  • Inconsistent rule outputs (repricing/monitoring can become unpredictable if the “competitor price” is not a single source of truth)

Keeping one URL per SKU ensures your tracking remains accurate, stable, and actionable.

Common scenarios (and what to do instead)

Scenario 1: “The competitor has the same item on multiple URLs”

Examples: different category pages, duplicate listings, or localized URLs.

What to do: pick the best canonical URL—usually the most stable product page:

  • the main product detail page (PDP)
  • the URL that doesn’t change often
  • the URL that clearly matches the same variant/specs as your SKU

Tip: If one URL frequently goes out of stock or redirects, switch to the more stable one.

Scenario 2: “I want to monitor the same SKU across multiple competitors”

That’s supported—Pricefy is designed for competitor monitoring.

What to do: add one competitor URL per competitor, matching each competitor to the SKU separately (i.e., you can monitor multiple competitors, just not multiple URLs for the same competitor match on the same SKU).

Scenario 3: “I want to track multiple variants of the same product”

Examples: size/color variants where each variant has a different competitor URL.

What to do: represent variants as separate SKUs in your catalog (recommended), so each SKU can have its own correct competitor URL.

Scenario 4: “I want to track multiple pages because the competitor splits pricing (bundle vs single)”

What to do: decide what you’re matching:

  • If your SKU is a single unit, match the competitor’s single-unit page.
  • If your SKU is a bundle/multipack, match the competitor’s bundle page.

Avoid mixing bundle pages with single-unit SKUs—this usually creates misleading results.

Best practices for choosing the competitor URL

When selecting the one URL you’ll use for a SKU, aim for:

  • Exact product match (same model, size, quantity, specs)
  • Stable page structure (less likely to redirect or disappear)
  • Clear pricing visibility (price shown consistently without requiring user selection)
  • Correct region/currency (use the page relevant to your market)

FAQ

Can I add two URLs for the same SKU and choose later?

Not at the same time. You can replace the competitor URL if needed, but you can’t store multiple URLs concurrently for the same SKU.

Will Pricefy support multiple competitor URLs per SKU in the future?

As of now, the product behavior is one competitor URL per SKU. If this changes, it would be reflected in release notes and product documentation.

What if the competitor URL changes?

If the competitor page changes or redirects, update the competitor URL for that SKU to the new stable product page.
