How to manually monitor a competitor URL

To monitor a competitor URL in Pricefy, you link a competitor’s product page to the matching product in your catalog. Pricefy then reads that page’s price and stock on every check, so you can compare it with yours.

You don’t have to add the competitor first: if the store isn’t one of your competitors yet, Pricefy adds it for you when you save the URL. It counts toward your plan’s competitor limit.

Open Monitored URLs

  1. In the sidebar, go to Competitors → Monitored URLs.

Each row matches one of your products to one competitor product page, with its price, stock and status:

How to monitor a competitor URL

  1. Click Add URL (top right). The Add New Competitor URL window opens.
  2. Click Select a product and pick the product from your catalog that matches the competitor’s page. Type at least three characters in the search box to find it by name, SKU or code.

  1. Paste the competitor’s product URL — the page of that specific product, not the store’s home page or a category.
  2. To monitor the same product at other competitors, click + next to the first URL to add a row for each store. The bin icon removes a row.
  3. Click Save.

Here one product gets two competitor URLs in a single save:

The One competitor url per product note (click it to expand) is a reminder that each product can have only one URL per competitor — for example, you can’t track two Amazon pages for the same product. Learn more about this limit.

If a URL is rejected

Pricefy checks every URL, and a row that can’t be added shows a red message under it:

  • The URL you entered doesn’t appear to be a product URL — paste the full address of a product page, for example https://www.store.com/product, not just the domain.
  • This product is already matched to this competitor — the product already has a URL from that store. Edit the existing row on Monitored URLs instead.
  • Competitors limit reached — the URL belongs to a new store and your plan has no competitor slots left. Upgrade your plan or remove a competitor you no longer track.

When you save several rows and only some fail, the valid ones are still added — they show Url Added Successfully — while the others keep their message so you can fix them.

What happens next

Pricefy starts reading the page’s price and stock on your plan’s schedule. Follow its progress in the Status column, at the right end of the table: In Analysis while the page is read for the first time, Active once it’s tracked, or a flag such as Missing Price or Scraping Failed when something needs attention. Some flags come with a How to fix? link, and every status is explained in Extraction statuses explained.

The Competitor Stock column shows In Stock, Out of Stock, Page Removed or Missing Stock. Hover the badge to see since when the product has been in that state:
