How the MAP Infringement Monitoring Works

What is MAP Monitoring?

Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) is the lowest price a retailer can publicly display for a product.

While retailers can sell products at any price they choose, MAP agreements are in place to prevent price wars that can erode brand value and profits. MAP monitoring involves tracking online retailers to ensure they adhere to these pricing agreements.

How Pricefy’s MAP Monitoring Works

Pricefy’s MAP Monitoring feature is a powerful tool that automates the process of tracking and enforcing MAP policies across various e-commerce platforms.

Here’s how it works:

1 – Check that your account is set on “I’m a Brand” in Settings/General. This is important because Brand and Merchant accounts have some different features.

2 – Import or set the MAP value for all your products. To know how to massively import your MAP, follow this guide.

3 – Open the section “Map Infringements” to have an overview of all resellers how are selling their products respecting or infringing the MAP / MSRP. Those are selling their product below the MAP/MSRP are labeled as “Respected” while those are selling it below the MAP/MSRP are labeled as “Infringed”
