How to Find and Fix “Orphan” Monitored URLs in Pricefy

When you monitor competitor product pages in Pricefy, each monitored URL is normally linked (matched) to one of your products in My Catalog. After a catalog import, some monitored URLs can become “orphaned” if the product they were linked to was not re-imported.

This guide shows you how to quickly find those orphan monitored URLs and what to do next.

What is an “Orphan” Monitored URL?

An orphan monitored URL is a competitor URL that is no longer linked to any product in your catalog.

In the Monitored URLs table, you’ll typically see:

  • My Product = “No Product Found” (often with the SKU shown)
  • Status = “Orphan”

Because the product link is missing, Pricefy may not be able to calculate “My Price” and “Price Position” for that row.

Why does this happen?

Most commonly, it happens right after an import when:

  • A product was removed from the import file (CSV) or catalog (eCommerce Platform), or
  • The product identifier used to match products (often SKU) changed between imports, or
  • The product was intentionally discontinued and no longer exists in your catalog.

How to find orphan monitored URLs

  1. Go to Competitors → Monitored URLs
  2. Click Filters (top right)
  3. In Simple Filters:
  • Set Status to Equal
  • Select Orphan
  1. Click Apply Filter

Optional:

  • Click Save Filters Set to reuse this filter anytime (for example, name it “Orphan URLs”).
  • Use Import & Export to export the filtered list (useful if you want to share it internally or clean up in bulk).

How to fix orphan monitored URLs

Start by deciding whether the missing product should still exist in your catalog.

A) The product should still be in your catalog (most common)

  1. Use the SKU shown in the “No Product Found” row to locate the product in your source system.
  2. Update your next catalog import so that product is included again.
  3. Re-run the import.
  4. Return to Monitored URLs and re-check the Orphan filter.

Tip: If your product identifiers changed (for example, SKUs were updated), make sure your import uses a consistent identifier so Pricefy can reconnect the monitored URLs to the correct products.

B) The product exists, but it’s now a different product record

If the product was re-created, merged, or reintroduced under a new identifier, you may need to re-match the monitored URL to the correct product.

  • Open the Actions (⋯) menu for the orphan row and update the match

C) The product was discontinued (and should stay removed)

If you no longer sell that product, the monitored URL is no longer useful.

  • Open the Actions (⋯) menu and remove or archive the monitored URL (recommended to keep your workspace clean and reporting accurate).

Best practices to prevent orphan URLs after imports

  • Keep product identifiers consistent across imports (especially SKUs or whatever field your catalog import uses as the “unique key”).
  • Before running a large cleanup, filter by Status = Orphan right after your import to catch issues immediately.
  • Export orphan URLs and share them with whoever manages the catalog feed so they can add back any accidentally-missing products.
