Pricefy connects to your Magento 2 store with the Access Token of a Magento integration: no admin password and no two-factor codes. The token gives Pricefy only the access you choose, it does not expire, and it keeps working when you change your admin password or turn on two-factor authentication.
It takes a few minutes in your Magento admin, then one step in Pricefy.
Before you start
- A Magento 2 store: Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce, on your own servers or on Adobe Commerce cloud infrastructure. Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service does not support access tokens and cannot be connected this way.
- A Magento admin user that can create integrations and change the store configuration.
Step 1: allow access tokens (Magento 2.4.4 and later)
Since Magento 2.4.4, an integration access token is refused unless this setting is on. On earlier versions the setting does not exist and you can skip this step. Your Magento version is shown at the bottom of every admin page.
1) In your Magento admin, go to Stores › Configuration › Services › OAuth and open Consumer Settings.
2) Set Allow OAuth Access Tokens to be used as standalone Bearer tokens to Yes. If the field is greyed out, untick Use system value next to it first.
3) Click Save Config. If Magento asks you to refresh the cache, do it from System › Cache Management.
This setting applies to every integration of your store, so keep access tokens private and give each integration only the access it needs, as below.
Step 2: create the Pricefy integration
1) Go to System › Extensions › Integrations and click Add New Integration.
2) In the Integration Info tab, enter a name (for example Pricefy) and, under Your Password, your admin password to confirm. Leave the other fields empty.
3) Open the API tab, set Resource Access to Custom and tick these resources:
| Resource | What Pricefy uses it for |
|---|---|
| Catalog › Inventory (ticks Products and Categories with it) | Read your products, prices and stock, and update your prices when you use repricing |
| Stores › Settings › All Stores | Read your store currency, languages and default category |
| Stores › Attributes › Product | Read your attributes: brand, filters and the additional fields you import |
| Stores › Attributes › Attribute Set | Read the attribute sets you can choose from |
| Stores › Inventory › Sources | Read the stock of each source. Only on stores that show this resource |
Make sure Products and Categories stay ticked under Catalog › Inventory: Pricefy needs all of them. Choosing All works too, but it also gives access to your orders and customers, which Pricefy never needs.
4) Click Save.
Step 3: activate the integration and copy the Access Token
1) In the integrations list, click Activate next to the Pricefy integration, then Allow.
2) Magento shows four values: Consumer Key, Consumer Secret, Access Token and Access Token Secret. Copy only the Access Token, the third one. The four values look alike: do not copy the Access Token Secret by mistake.
3) Click Done. You can see the values again at any time by opening the integration from the same list.
Step 4: connect your store in Pricefy
1) In Pricefy, go to Settings › Product Feed and choose Magento.
2) Select Access Token (recommended), enter your store URL (for example https://www.yourstore.com) and paste the Access Token.
3) Click Connect Now. Pricefy checks the token and the access of the integration before saving anything. If your store has more than one language, root category or attribute set, Pricefy asks which ones to use, then imports your catalog.
Already connected with your admin username and password?
You can switch to an access token at any time. On the Product Feed page click Switch to access token (or Reconnect), follow steps 1 to 3 above and paste the token, with the same store URL.
- Your catalog, competitors, matched products, filters and import settings stay exactly as they are: only the connection changes.
- From then on you can change your admin password or turn on two-factor authentication without affecting Pricefy.
Troubleshooting
“Your Magento store did not accept the access token”. Check, in this order:
- the setting of step 1 is set to Yes and saved, and the cache is refreshed;
- you pasted the Access Token, not the Access Token Secret, the Consumer Key or the Consumer Secret;
- the integration still has Stores › Settings › All Stores ticked;
- the integration is active in System › Extensions › Integrations.
“The Pricefy integration in your Magento admin is missing access to: …”. Open the integration, go to the API tab, tick the resources named in the message and save. If the message appeared while connecting, click Connect Now again. If it appeared on a catalog update, there is nothing else to do: the next update picks it up.
“Your Magento store no longer accepts the Pricefy access token”. The integration was deleted or reauthorized, or the setting of step 1 was turned off. Fix it in Magento, then click Reconnect on the Product Feed page and paste the current Access Token.
Some languages, categories or attribute sets are missing when Pricefy asks you to choose: check the resources of step 2.

Change or remove Pricefy’s access
- New token: in Magento, click Reauthorize next to the integration. Magento issues a new Access Token and the old one stops working at once. Then click Reconnect in Pricefy and paste the new token.
- Disconnect Pricefy: click Disconnect on the Product Feed page in Pricefy, then delete the Pricefy integration in Magento.
