Competitors Discovery is the feature that finds competitors you don’t know about yet. Pricefy scans the web — starting from Google Shopping — for stores selling products like yours, and alerts you whenever it finds new ones.
How it works
Whether Discovery runs on its own depends on the Discovery Service mode in Settings → Discovery & Automatch:
- Automatic — every time you import or update products, Pricefy analyses the new items and searches for matching competitors.
- Manual — Discovery runs only when you start it yourself from that page.
When a run finishes, a banner tells you how many new competitor suggestions are ready to review.
Get the best results
Discovery leans on your product codes — it works best with a valid GTIN, though it can also work from SKUs for some catalogs. The more products with valid codes, the more (and better) competitors it finds.
